Consortium and NFDI

These pages summarise the consortium's organisation, its partners, task areas (TAs) and relevant documents.

The PUNCH4NFDI governance is shown in the picture below; it involves various bodies that are briefly explained. The partners of the consortium are given on a separate page, and so are relevant public documents and the task areas. An overview of the board and committee membership can be found on this page

The consortium is run by the Executive Board (EB) and the Management Board (MB). The EB consists of the spokesperson and 5 members, together representing all PUNCH research directions and the relevant actors in the field - universities, Helmholtz centres, Max Planck institutes, and Leibniz institutes. The EB is responsible for the overall directions of the consortium, while the MB (consisting of task area leaders and a project manager) organises the daily business of the consortium.

EB and MB are assisted in their tasks by an Scientific Advisory Board (SAB), staffed with international experts on research data management in general and in PUNCH physics in particular.

A User Committee and an Infrastructure & Resource Board ensure the tight connection of the PUNCH4NFDI research efforts to the actual needs of the users and the development work of the (largely international) research and data management facilities of PUNCH sciences.
