The first version of the KASCADE Cosmic ray Data Centre (KCDC) was released on November 3rd 2013. The aim of the KCDC was and is the installation and establishment of a public data centre for high-energy astroparticle physics based in first order on the data of the KASCADE cosmic-ray experiment. The project started with a comparatively small data sample of 150 million events taken by the initial KASCADE Array between 1996 and 2003.  It has gradually expanded the amount of data and included the full KASCADE-Grande data sets as well as data from other air-shower experiments. Over the 10 years, the project has constantly published new releases and improved the user-friendliness and access speed of the platform. And the work continuous by adding data, simulations as well as learning opportunities and improvements to the user interface, which has been recognized by the steady growth of the user community. A major next step will be the integration of KCDC in the Science Data Platform of PUNCH4NFDI.

Happy Birthday, KCDC !
